Sailing route – start from Dubrovnik

Your sailing adventure begins in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. You will board your private yacht, sailing boat or ctamaran and meet your skipper, who will take care of the navigation, safety, and maintenance of the boat. We recomend that You hire a hostess, who will prepare delicious meals and snacks for you on board.

  • You will sail out of Dubrovnik and head to the island of Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti islands, with a rich history and a charming village. It was once a summer retreat for the Dubrovnik aristocracy, and you can still see some of their villas and churches. You can also enjoy the olive groves, vineyards, and beaches that dot the island
  • The next day, you will sail to the island of Mljet, famous for its national park that covers the western part of the island. The park contains two saltwater lakes, Veliko and Malo Jezero, and a small island with a Benedictine monastery. You can explore the park by bike, kayak, or boat, and enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife.
  • On the third day, you will sail to the island of Korcula, the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. The main town, also called Korcula, is a medieval gem, surrounded by walls and towers, and filled with narrow streets, churches, and palaces. You can visit the Marco Polo Museum, the Cathedral of St. Mark, and the Bishop’s Treasury, as well as enjoy the local cuisine and wine.
  • On the fourth day, you will sail to the island of Vis, the most remote and authentic island in Croatia, with a rich history and culture. It was a strategic military base for many years, and only opened to tourism in 1989. You can visit the remains of the ancient Greek colony of Issa, the Roman baths, the British fortress, and the Yugoslav submarine tunnel. You can also take a boat to the nearby Biševo Island, where you can see the spectacular Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon that creates a magical blue glow inside the cave.
  • On the fifth day, you will sail to the island of Lastovo the most remote and authentic island in Croatia, with a stunning nature park and a traditional carnival. It has a unique architecture, with stone houses and chimneys that resemble mini-minarets. Also to visit midieval town of Lastovo, to learn something about the history. 
  • On the sixth day, you will sail to the Pelješacis a peninsula famous for its wine production and oyster farms. You can take a wine tour and visit some of the best wineries in Croatia, such as Grgić, Miloš, and Matuško. Ston is a small town on the Pelješac peninsula, known for its salt pans, oyster farms, and stone walls. You can visit the Salt Museum, where you can learn about the history and production of salt, or the Ston Oyster Festival, where you can sample fresh oysters and local wine. You can also walk along the Ston walls, which are 5.5 km long and date back to the 14th century.
  • On the seventh  and final day, you will sail back to Dubrovnik, where you will disembark and say goodbye to your skipper and hostess. You will have some time to explore the city, visit its attractions, such as the Old Town, the City Walls, the Rector’s Palace, and the Cable Car, or do some shopping and souvenir hunting.
